General Pointlessness

I could not find an apt title and decided that this phrase from the past has gotta do. After all we did mention it today.

Anyway, I went to Grange Rd in search of my new job place. The agent could have gone down to specifics and told me which building it was. Thus, after going around in circles and walking up and down (almost taking a cab), I found that the place was just 1min away from the bus-stop I stopped at. My absent-mindedness? Nah I think its tt agent's fault seriously.

After I found my workplace, I wanted to take a bus to Orchard from there (another astonishing fact is that my workplace is only 10mins away from Orchard MRT). Had no choice but to ask some Korean/Japanese tourists for directions (the irony....) They answered that I should go to the opposite bus stop, which I did. Minutes after I reached the opp bus stop, one of them crossed the precarious busy road. And u know what, she just crossed the road to tell me that there's no bus service to Orchard from here. Thus both sides will not work and I need to find another way out. I was so touched by her gesture. Really wonder how many ppl out there will be considerate and own up to their mistakes like tt. Thumbs up for East Asian courtesy!! Eventually I cabbed to Orchard just to find out how close I was to it. What a small world we live in....

Had tea with Justin and Yal. I never expected their paths to meet since I normally meet them one-to-one. Nonetheless we had a marvellous time, as always when I met up with them seperately. Discussed the most frivolous and also the most practical topics under the sun. From uni and the work world to eternal damnation with no relief. From how coffee and goat skin purses are made to how lobsters and frogs' brains are cooked.

I must admit that Justin is garrulous and yet knowledgeable. These two adjectives normally end up being an oxymoron when juxtaposed but not in his case. Sometimes I feel stupid when I end up realising that he knows so much more than me about aesthetics and general knowledge. Of course I hardly show signs of this because Im too narcissistic to do it. However I know that its definitely time for me to hone my general pointlessness and general knowledge. :S

Still Im glad to have both of them among my close frens; Intelligent in their own ways and never fail to make my day. Thanks again to those two Korean/Japanese (probably Japanese since they are known for sincere hospitality) tourists who managed to guide me out of Grange Rd. Btw that road is like 2 to 3km long so buildings do play hide n seek.
