Transport bitching (Im only gonna bitch about it once)

I must applaud the MRT system in Singapore. Never have I been late for work so long ie 30 mins.

Record-breaking lateness

I took the escalator up to the platform only to be greeted by 3 MRT loads worth of commuters. This is the hugest crowd I have ever seen on a platform. Obviously I missed the first train that came along. There was this bitch next to me whining about her "damsel in distress" thingy ie being late and not able to get herself out of it. She was complaining about how everyone was sweaty and disgusting around her, smothering her and unable to move. Well she's wrong. There's somewhere to move to. Like the train tracks. She should just stand rite there and accompany the train when it arrives. Sheesh...

Then the second train arrived, like after 5 mins!!! Considering the rush hour, thats a very very slow train already. Anyway when the train arrived, I managed to get on board the train without even having to move. Cos I was pushed in, LITERALLY.. I usually do not board sardine-packed trains; I will just stand there and laugh at those passengers squeezed to the windows. (It can be real funny seriously) However I could not help but get shoved in this time. At least I did not paste myself to the window.

I quote from one of the poly students on board the train: "U cant fall down here. There's lots of cushion....Im sure if I take out a gun and start pointing at one of the passengers here, he wont be able to duck". Point proven. Its either that violence is ubiquitous in everyone or this guy just needs to start finding a brain.

Then the train arrived at Jurong East, and everyone had to alight cos the train heading towards Pasir Ris is not in service and we have to wait for the other one. At least I entered this train voluntarily.

I missed my bus too cos my schedule was screwed by the MRT. I managed to find a seat on the bus, as always but something irritates me, as always. Why do ppl jus love sitting on the outer seat, and leave the inner seat bloody empty. I seriously do not have any discrimination here but somehow the women tend to do it, based on my countless experiences on this bus. Gender aside, these ppl really need to find the seeds of consideration and start growing it in them.

Such hassles in the morning ruins even the best mornings. Its no wonder they call it Monday blues. I dun see blue on Monday, I see red more often, and it does not happen only on Monday mornings.
