The river of life
Went to Clarke Quay with my mom and bud for dinner. We ate Manhattan (yes we ate the whole city..) at this new mall called Central. Its half-opened but appears promising as a future buzzing shopping arcade. Some pics above.
These pics were taken from the balcony dining area of Manhattan Fish Market. Many other restaurants have a similar view. We were admiring the river view after dinner. Its pretty amazing that a river hardly any wider than the length of an Olympic sized pool and probably no longer than 1km can garner such commercial clout and investments in the past.
I was just wondering what things will be like if we had more natural landmarks in our tiny home. If we had emulated Paris, whereby nearly 1/3 of its land is greenery, what differences can we expect to see. I guess we can never find out the answer to that. Commercial buildings and concrete are here to stay. They then are our source of life. Great..
