What's next on the Endangered Species list?

Read TIME magazine today. Havent touched any of this subscribed periodical since post-NS and my guilt started to prick me. Not that I do not want to read it but sleeping is much more convenient on the MRT, rather than taking out a flimsy mag to read. Say hi to the pig in me......

Anyway I came skimmed the US politics coverage since such totally bores me, and I came across an article containing this phrase "Bees in danger". Normally, when we think of bees, the word "in" is omitted from our brain ie "BEES! DANGER!". Apparently, our fuzzy bovine buddies are endangered. Attacked by pesky mites and pesticides, these bees are essential in our lives. They fertilise more than three quarters of our favourite fruits and are the sole producers of honey. Woe is me if honey is extinct.

Okay I shan't beat about the bush. Too many things are dying out and something has gotta be done. First the tigers and bears top the endangered list. Then our scaly friends the FISH. OMG!! If fish dies, I think I will bury myself with them. And now the bumble bees. All because we (Man) are killing the bloody ecosystem, overfishing, overuse of pesticides etc etc. The sinful list goes on.

There's so much more that I wrote but I chose to retract them lest I start seeing a riot amassing outside my door step. I hate to create a pessimistic aura among readers too, given the fact that Im an optimist. However, things do not seem to be standing on the optimistic side.

I apologise for this lengthy sermon but I just cant stand flipping thru every periodical and newspaper, to see something that does not deserve death, dying (if not dead). I know this entry sounds lofty and out-of-this-world. Take note though that when a narcissist like me starts spouting such bitchy gibberish, "care-for-the-world" satire, its gotta be a bloody big issue.

And Im pretty sure things are gonna get even bloodier. Yucks Im disgusted by this ending!!
