The last day of slack... Another mth of flab

Got a job today. Like in 5mins. All thanks to WK who gave me a magical number to call and after some random qns, I am to report for work near Bugis at 830. Thats like super early and I gotta wake even earlier than my previous job. But its $6.94/hour so I shan't complain... And Im not under some job agent too (as what they claim).. Somehow I keep landing myself with stat board jobs but its ok. Civil servant in 5yrs and the pay is tangible so that will do.

Sadly speaking I have gotta forgo my family outing on Thursday but then money talks. After all this job only lasts for the hol season ie one mth, so I cant haggle too much regarding the first day of work.

Driving today. Torrential rain blew my plans for a post-drive swim. I came across 5 broken down traffic lights. Apparently there's some massive short circuit such that 1/3 of the traffic lights I encountered are blanked out. There wasn't even a flashing amber. So much for the flashing amber signal they taught in school. At least I managed to keep my cool in spite of the technical glitches; In fact I was more amused and hardly anxious. Interesting to see that SG ppl know what to do in traffic cock-ups.

No swim, more flab. And my next job is probably sedentary too, again.. Bring on the flab :S
