The last 6 hrs of 2006 and the first 7 hrs of 2007..

Let me start with what I did during the journey to Siloso Beach. I msg almost all the people in my hp Inbox "Happy New Yr". I wanted to set a new record for myself, being the first to greet all my frens this festive season. All was well except for one fren.... JUSTIN!!! Apparently Im one of the probably twentieth person to greet him since his whole cell group already gave him seasons greetings. Record poofed....

I must admit that this New Year was another bash for me. Spent 12 hrs outdoors, one of my longest records. Essentially I stayed at the Siloso Beach for the countdown before heading down to the Cathay.

I must count my lucky stars since I was able to obtain a complimentary pass, thanks to Min's resourcefulness. The foam party was tempting but the queue was a contrasting turn-off. Eventually when we decided to queue for it, the queue was like 100m before our turn. Thus we decided to just hang around.

Here are some pics from the bash.

Luckily, we had complimentary passes. Otherwise $32 for the party is pretty expensive.
There wasn't much to do anyway because the stalls set up charge their meaningless activities at such high prices. Half the time we were just waiting for the celebrities' appearance. Its exactly like an alfresco club.

We tried to get a picture with Denise Keller but her slender legs brought her away in the speed of light. I preferred her normal hairstyle than the peacock tail she tied her hair into that night.
She seems evasive towards the crowd, maybe that was how she managed to escape so quickly. At least Utt was more approachable.

Honestly speaking, I prefer the Marina Bay countdown. Went there last year. Despite the TREMENDOUS crowd, at least there were fireworks and its complimentary to everyone. However this beach party is an enjoyable new experience as well. As least we can see celebrities. And it also gave us a reason to explore Sentosa, we hardly frequent.

Following the countdown, I headed to Paradiz Centre for a movie. I watched the Night at the Museum again, but it was mainly my friends' treat due to circumstances. Im pretty thankful, with a pinch of guilt that they accomodated to me. I feel so blessed to have celebrated my Christmas and New Year with such fantastic company. If only every festive season can be such a moment of mirth and jubilance for everyone.

Just to end off with a cliche greeting. May everyone usher in the new year with optimism and relish the joy 2007 has to offer us. For those with resolutions, may they be materialised.

Okay end of my bimbo moment.

Glad you had a memorable and enjoyable New Year's eve! You're one super busy guy Simon G. Gotta slow down a tad before you burn out. :)
