Apocalypto

Watched Apocalypto with Samuel on Tuesday. I have been wanting to meet him since its been a while and Im glad he initiated jus on time. Moreover I haven watched a movie for like a mth. Its time someone broke the spell.

Anyway the show has a poor story line. Quite bad if I were to be more fussy over it. Basically its a Kung bushmen kind of society being ravaged by a more advanced one. Human sacrifices, mutilation of bodies and beasts were rampant. Heads and balls rolling also showed their ugly faces. Basically, the viewers must have a strong stomach to endure the show. Im glad I have an abyss for one (I was even eating during the show). Provocative thru the gore.

The intention was pretty vague and its up to the audience to materialise their own ideas and intentions. I thot that it jus shows how a society can become more gruesome even after progress. (Wonder if it has any current social implication.)

Nonetheless, this show was action-packed and the cultural shocks proved to be eye candy in its own way. Its the first time I saw a baby delivered in less than a minute!! Seriously.. The ending was inconclusive and lame. Still, there's never a bored moment and anticipation keeps the viewers awake. It worked for me at least.
The thrill overwrites its nearly non-existent story line.

It garners a 3.5 (at most) from me. And definitely a negative 3.5 from the ladies. Unless they like seeing blood and heads rolling

As usual my day ended after 12am.

I shld be nicknamed a bee instead of a pig. Pigs get much more slp and bees are jus, busy...
